🔸 LUKE JACKSON - PRESIDENT

Board of SCWA,

I am formally applying for the position of President SCWA. I have been involved with the SCWA board for the last six years. I believe I have the experience and knowledge base to move SCWA in the right direction. There will be much to do in the next couple of years and I believe that the experience and continuation I can bring to the role will be necessary to keep the momentum we have generated this year.

In my professional career I work in a large multinational corporation and manage teams across many levels. I am involved in government and company liaison, and I also manage large contracts with multiple vendors.

I have been a director / member for 5 years now and twice interim President. I am also the father of a very keen sport climber who is now on the Australian Youth National Team. I will be looking to leverage the great relationship we have with our National Sport climbing association and look to bring more competitions and events to WA.

I will be looking to grow the Board members and bring in a diverse mix of individuals. We have a clear strategy and will be looking to push and develop this over the next two years.

Luke Jackson

🔸 DILWYN GRIFFITHS - TREASURER

Good afternoon,

I am writing to express my interest in the Treasurer position on the Sport Climbing WA board.

As a person who has a strong background in finance as well as a young child competing and representing WA in Sport Climbing I feel well placed in supporting the Board. Further to this I see a strength and benefit in being able to give back to the community and sport.

I have over 26 years' experience in finance. As noted from my attached resume I have progressed from auditor through to Financial Controller and most recently Director of Finance for St John of God Murdoch Hospital. My exposure has been through all aspects of budgeting, forecasting and reporting as well as strategic planning and business case development.

As Treasurer, I would be committed to ensuring that the organisation's finances are managed in a responsible and transparent manner. I would work closely with the board and respective teams to develop and monitor budgets, identify areas of financial risk and implement sound financial practices.

Having been part of a sporting club board before, I understand the commitments of the role and the passion of those involved and I am excited at the opportunity to be part of the effort to grow Sport Climbing within our state.

Thank you for your consideration.

Kind regards,

Dilwyn Griffiths
