The first National Boulder Cup started with a fun boulder jam on Friday 25 September for Open B, Open C and Masters. Then a World Cup-style competition for Open A with qualification, semi-final and final rounds over Saturday and Sunday. We are grateful to Sport Climbing Australia for having our WA Open Boulder Titles as part of this event, Portside Boulder for hosting and Paddy Palin for their continued support and sponsorship.

We want to express our immense thanks to the routesetting team led by Finlay Cruickshank; the volunteers who stepped up to help judge, marshal, do regos, first aid and run the bake stall with a special shout-out to the past youth climbers and non-parents who made the effort to come and help; our main sponsor Paddy Palin for continuing to support the climbing community in WA; Adrenaline Vault for sponsoring prizes and letting us take over the gym for a week and supporting in so many ways; Capture with FJ for taking all the amazing pics; and of course, all the climbers for giving your best and having a go.
