Meet Our State Coaches

WA Coach - chris foster

Chris is looking forward to taking over the role of State Coach supporting our climbing athletes’ progress.

As a first class honours graduate physio, Chris has been treating human bodies of all ages for many years. He has been climbing his entire adult life, really falling in love with indoor and outdoor climbing a decade ago and has since merged this with his passion for physiotherapy, opening Climbit Physio and sharing his experience and knowledge with others. An active, outdoor adventurer and natural problem solver he is helping to raise another generation of climbers (and adventurers) and loves to extend this guidance and support to the community.

wa assistant coach - shaun minnaar

Shaun has been an avid indoor and outdoor climber (and loving it) for years, competing in multiple National Championships himself and now wants to help others follow their passion and achieve their goals. He is looking forward to working closely with Chris and the WA Climbing Team as the new assistant coach.
